NORÐFÓLK
Rebekka and Jon Arnar Einarsson got funding from Norwegian-Icelandic culturalfund, by Kulturdirketoratet and the Ministry of education in Iceland to build an exciting experience. They cooperated with choirs in Norway and Iceland performing Norwegian and Icelandic folk songs and folklore traditions. In november 2022 they held workshops with choirs in Bergen, Trondheim, Oslo og Reykjavík.
In 2023 Norðfólk played many concerts, among others in the Siglufjordur folk festival. They also workshopped with Laffi Vokalensemble and childrens choir Litla Laffí and performed icelandic folk music in a full Sagene kirke in Oslo.
In 2024 the duo hosted a week long summer-workshop in Reykjavik where choir enthusiasts took part in making a choir concert based on nordic folk music. They also played an interactive walking concert in Harpan at Seigla chamber festival. Lastly they played with choirs in Trondheim and Oslo and hosted a workshop for children.
